Meet Your Speech Therapist

Catherine Huey, M.S., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Hi, I’m Catherine Huey, M.S., CCC-SLP — the founder of Allied Speech. I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 7 years of experience supporting children and families across private practice, school, daycare, and interdisciplinary settings.

I earned both my undergraduate and master’s degrees from Marshall University and previously worked for the Autism Training Center at Marshall, where I developed a deep passion for supporting autistic individuals and their families. Throughout my career, I have worked with children with a wide range of communication needs, including autism, apraxia of speech, gestalt language processing, speech sound disorders, AAC users, and early language delays.

My therapy approach is child-led, rooted in connection, and family-centered. I believe communication is more than spoken words, and I strive to help every child feel understood, capable, and confident in their own unique way of connecting with the world.

At Allied Speech, I’ve created a warm, sensory-conscious environment designed to help children feel safe, regulated, and excited to learn. I value strong relationships with families and believe the best progress happens through collaboration, trust, and celebrating every step forward together.
